Offering Sustainable Housing, Education, Health Services & More to Female Veterans
Life Source Oasis is a nonprofit organization providing sustainable tiny housing units for homeless women veterans. We utilize inexpensive rural land and take advantage of California's housing framework. As a result, we can construct non-traditional tiny homes on wheels that cost as little as 10% of that of a traditional single-family house.
We own almost 2.5 acres of property in the Palmdale area. Our community is currently being planned, developed, and constructed for 6 female veterans. We aim to design innovative techniques like smart passive heating and cooling strategies already successfully employed in similar communities like the Earthship community in Taos, New Mexico.
Our mission is to provide sustainable housing and life-skills solutions to female veterans to enable their empowerment and successful reintegration into society as contributing citizens. The veterans are also taught how to farm and provided with additional training to earn their livelihood.
